Four years ago Bob’s crew built our sunroom in 3 days. That impressed us! Last year our area was hit by heavy damaging hail. The only thing on our sunroom to show damage was the tin on the roof and a piece of downspout. That shows the quality of workmanship. No windows were damaged at all. In two days Dennis and crew came and removed the damaged roof and put on a new one. Everything was done with the same efficiency as the original build. We absolutely cannot say enough about the workmanship of this product and the people they employ. Thanks again Bob and company.

Just had our sunroom completed by Bob and the group and we’re super pleased. Our small project turned into a big one when we discovered the deck it was to go on was rotting. Bob and his crew were patient with us getting this sorted, and they built a rock-solid well constructed deck to replace it, fixing structural deficiencies made by the original builder. Top notch work. The sunroom installation ties into the house perfectly, and it’s clear that it was quality work, installed by a real hard working team of guys (man, they busted their butts for 3 days in the heat – hats off to the crew!). Our only other comment would be to explore all of your installation options as we only found out we could have had a 4 seasons room after our 3 season walls were already installed. Minor thing, but definitely make sure you explore everything. So far, we are extremely pleased with the team at S&A and the quality of work they have done. I will update this review in the future as the sunroom “ages”, but first impressions are that this is quality stuff that will stand the test of time. Thanks Bob, Liz, and the rest of the crew! We love our room…

Initially, our plan was to replace the existing deck in the backyard but a friend told me about the benefits of having a sunroom attached to the house rather than just building a deck. That way, you are able to enjoy the great outdoors without the problem of mosquitos or wasps and, if it is windy or raining, you simply close some of the windows.
Liz, at Sunrooms & Awnings, was very helpful explaining and showing me the different types of sunrooms in their showroom at 488 McCoy Dr. Red Deer, Ab. We then set up an appointment for her husband Bob Bloos (Owner) to visit our home to provide a cost estimate, which he did with no sales pressure attached.
We were very impressed with the total experience of the construction of our new sunroom, which is now complete. The crew was knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and did an awesome job. We would totally recommend dealing with Sunrooms & Awnings Ltd. – you won’t be disappointed!

My husband Bruce and I needed to redo our aging two-tier deck for our walkout. We met Bob Bloos at the Red Deer Home Show and were immediately impressed with the sunrooms and products he showed us. He took our information and called us back as promised that following week. He gave us several quotes and reworked various options for us as we contemplated what would work best for us and our home. We decided on new maintenance-free decks for the upper and lower levels of the house with the Dektec coverings, cladding and new soffits. Bob’s team of experienced carpenters were there as promised and did a phenomenal job in installing our new decks. The Dektec team also followed up quickly and installed our new Dektec coverings. Overall this was a very positive experience from start to finish. If we had any concerns or questions throughout the process, Bob and his team were right there to ensure we were 100% satisfied. I want to share this fun and fabulous adventure with everyone! it all started by seeing the ad at the movie theatre. I called and spoke to Liz who assured me her husband would know exactly how to guide me in choosing the most suitable options for my deck.. And Bob did just that! I now have a cozy oasis for all weathers outside as well a a BBQ space addition. I am warm in the cooler weather and cool on those lovely sunny days. I have shelter that serves many purpose for me. My beautiful new Sunroom has proven its worth during this most recent cold snap! It is situated on the Northwest side of my house and has provided welcome protection from the wind and added insulation value to my home. There has been no frost buildup on the windows despite the wind and the desperate cold. It has made an added living space and showcases my Christmas tree very nicely! It is a solidly built , well engineered 3-Season construction. I highly recommend this type of addition to anyone. Installed screen on lower edge of main awning.
You installed the main awning about 5 years ago. We ordered an adjustable screen for the lower edge of the main awning. Your guys were cheerful and polite and did the job quickly. When they were finished with the new installation, we asked that they make minor adjustments to the main awning which had been in place for 5 years. They cheerfully made the adjustments, for no charge.
They tidied up when they were finished.

As I live on the west side of the Chateau Lacombe. I never get to sit outside after 1 pm on a hot day. My awning and screen is just so nice and I really enjoy it. I find that the temperature in my condo stays lower. No more having it go to 30 degrees by 4pm. My A/C runs less–saving on power. I hardly recommend it to anyone. Have looked for something like this for 2 yrs. Glad I went to the Red Deer home show in the spring. Waiting for my free gift.

In May 2020, Sunrooms and Awnings Ltd. installed a 3 season sunroom to cover the upper deck of our lake cottage. After meeting Bob Bloos at the fall Red Deer Home Show, he visited our location and assessed our requirements. Installation was deferred until spring to accommodate weather related repair work. Despite a few challenges, that required some creativity, the installation team completed the project in a very professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable manner.
